Good win last night in tough conditions. A lot of players playing in new positions on a hot and sweltering night. Reitz has always been the best conditioned team in town, and it showed up very much last night. HC players were dropping like flies in the 4th quarter, and I saw little to none of that on our side. Try running the flag pole (dating myself here), or up that hill and around that tree, all season long, and you will soon get in shape, or die.

Not too worried about the offense as long as Matt and Hamilton Carr stay healthy. The offensive looked pretty good for the first game, and should improve as the season moves on. The defensive line will have to get more physical if we are going to be as good as last year. As someone has said, defense wins state championships.

Next week will be a real test. Officiating will be worse than last night, which I didn't think was that bad, and I expect no breaks in this game. There will probably be a lot of points scored, I just hope that most of ours aren't nullified by mysterious penalties.

Couldn't agree more big Al. Conditioning showed our strength in the 4th quarter.

But the defensive line shows where we need to focus. Tolly will get it worked out.

Seems we were throwing alot of "bombs"(deep routes). I know we have Carr and Tidwell that can go get it, but would like more 15-20 yard routes.

not only in the friday nite game but also in the JV game cant remember how many injury timeouts we had with HC players on the turf usually with cramps. made the game at least 20 minutes longer - prolonged their agony!!!!
