Hello peeps. It's been awhile since I have posted. First off, we hired Rudy as a member of the NEWS 25 Home Team Friday Game of the Week production crew. Congrats Rudy, I know you'll do a great job.

Also, I know most of you know that we are broadcasting Reitz at Henderson County tomorrow night live on the NEWS 25 Sports Channel...however, in week two we have chosen to broadcast live the Reitz at Owensboro game Saturday August 28th at 5pm.

We didn't intend to do Reitz back to back weeks, but with the significance of both games and so much tradition with each school that is how it worked out. We are going to do our best to do as many schools in the area as possible.

We are slated to broadcast all 13 weeks of the season (through regionals), however, if we have a team in the semi-state I'm sure we will add that too like we did in 2009.

We also have a 3 year contract with the IHSAA to broadcast every single televised championship game on the NEWS 25 Sports Channel. I believe there are 22 events in the school year.

Great news Lance. Thanks for all you are doing for Evansville High School sports. I can hear the other schools whining already about two Reitz games in a row. Just shows what a great judge of talent you are!

Will you still do the Mater Dei Central game week two?

No, but we are planning on doing both Mater Dei and Central games in the future to make up for it.

This is great for siac football. The siac is making a comeback. Castle I think with time is building a powerhouse program like they had back in the Lidy days. Mater Dei and Reitz have always had great programs, but other programs like Memorial and maybe Bosse are coming up. The fact you and channel 14 are doing some tv games, I think can help elevate siac football. I know back in the 90's the games came on late in the night, that way you could play then go home and watch the game. I think its even cooler that they are live!

I don't know if I'm the only person who feels this way, but I think siac football is stepping up its game. A lot of balance in the conference this year with Mater Dei, Central, Bosse and Memorial etc...

I am really glad to see that the Reitz-Owensboro game will be on TV, but can't we say good things about Reitz without running down the other SIAC schools? Good luck to the Panthers!

What about shooting the games in HD? Is that something we can hope for in the future?

No, I can't see that in the immediate future. That is a massive expense. Good question though.

Possible to have a game clock visible all the time and more info on down and yards to go?

More important, and no offense to the camera guys, but pass plays seemed to be zoomed in on instead of zooming out.
As result, we saw more of the ball in the air and not where it was going till almost too late. But hey, it was the first game and I really enjoyed it.

I have gotten a lot of questions/feedback. I am going to try to find time to answer them all on my website.

Quickly...still waiting word on re-broadcasts. Turns out it is not as simple as you would think. Also waiting on word on being able to purchase games on DVD.

I agree with camera. It was week one and we have some new people on the crew, but it has been addressed, and I am sure it will take time to improve.

No game clock, that is why I try to say it as we get closer to end of quarters. I'm not sure what more info you want on down and distance.

Please keep feedback coming. It's because of so many emails last season that this entire ambitious journey got started!
