Who were the 5 O lineman and who were the rb's?

I know we looked good, but who filled in for Cuda and the other injured players?
ReitzFootball.com
Honestly, I'm not sure. Reitz wore no numbers on their jerseys last night. Anyone have any information

Saftey Cuda Dimmett Just say a prayer Matt Doesn't go both ways.

These are the kids I've been told should start next week, but keep in mind this is coming from some parents. Word on the street is this team will be faster then last years. As of right now 5 starters are out due to injury.
DTDC
Hayden Sholtis is an o-lineman who started...not d. Kemp also played o-line...Cory Smith was on the sideline...(mono??)....Vaughn and Tezzy looked good at RB....I think Hettenbach is the TE. Cuda didn't dress but was moving around a little (albeit carefully) before the scrimmage. King is a LB and Carr also played DB and made a nice play on a ball early. Also noticed that DL Newhouse knee was really wrapped up. We have 3 starting o-line out with mono/injuries and Tinner was limping around but started. I think Weiseman (sp) plays DL as well?

Thought the kids looked good, but we can't jump offsides like we did last night...and Vincennes played hard but just isn't the same as they were 4-6 years ago.

So we have Newhouse at 187 pounds, Weissmann at 158 pounds and Sholtis at 198 on the line. Does the size of the kids concern anybody? Maybe they are just so fast, it doesn't matter. I figured Vaughn and Banks would look good running the ball. I'll be honest, at this point my biggest two concerns are our lack of beef up front and all the injuries. It might not matter till we play East Central who goes 6'7 250 6'1 255 6'5 270 6'5 230 and 6'4 268 per the 2010 Indiana football digest book. Again that is a big if considering that would be a regional game. We need to take it one game at a time, but its always fun to look ahead.

Size is always a concern for some, but in the past few years, we've won state championships with Cory Smith, Josh Balbach, Tyler Mattingly, Adam Herrmann on offense and guys like East Central and Cathedral dwarved us then and STILL lost. And, once again, Sholtis plays offense. Horne is about 6-5 and 275...he'll also get some reps but I heard he's hurt currently as well...he didn't play last night.

Brishaun Horne is 6'6 282

I don't doubt the heart of these kids for a minuite. However, Herrman and Mattingly were 220 not 189 and 158. I'll take a 220 pound kid any day of the week, but anything under 195 in 4a is a concern of mine. But at the end of the day what the hell do I know.

If David 220, Balbach 200, Carlton, 285, Smith 225 and Tinner 236 start on the O I think we will be ok.

If Mo at 220 Irvine at 263 and Horne at 687(lol) and even Newhouse at 187 I think we'll be ok. Will Kameron Harris play dl or lb? All of our lb's are huge.

I wouldn't worry too much about our line. I don't see a problem with that with some of the size that we had coming back. Yeah, there may be some inexperience there, but when was the last time we returned all five offensive linemen from one season to the next? (Not being sarcastic. Really don't know which is why I asked.) I believe we have one of the best offensive coaching staffs in the state, and I put our offensive line coach up there in the top 3. I've said it before. He gets the most out of those boys that he puts on the line, and they don't care if you are 98 pounds or 298 pounds. They are going to try to knock the snot out of you so that they open up the holes for our runners to drive trucks through. I swear, sometimes I think they would try to knock down a brick wall and think that on most attempts they would. Games are won in the trenches, and our line men know that, just doing their job and staying out of the lime light.

Not to worried in the siac about the size issue. It just concerns me a little if we are lucky enough to play Cathedral and East Central deep in the playoffs. The paper this morning shows Henderson County's line averages 260, so that should be a good test to start the season. I though it was interesting that the paper didn't list Rion Irvine and Kameron Harris as starters when everybody I spoke with from the scrimmage said both those guys looked good. I
ve been told this Irvine boy is a animal at nose gaurd. Anyways, if their running back would make it past our front 3(or 4), he should be prepared to get smoked by a truck with 3 out of our 4 linebackers are d1 size.

I hope Dimmett is healed in time for the Owensboro game. Owensboro is really being hyped up this year in the bluegrass state. Cal prince is rated top 100 qb's in the country. Henderson County and Owensboro will be very good test for Reitz.

I agree that it'd be nice if Reitz had more size, but Reitz kids just seem to be good football players regardless of whether they have the size and 40 times that the colleges want. East Central was a VERY good team and they have some huge kids, but Reitz just played the game better....same for Jasper and Cathedral, IMHO.

Castle and Memorial people told me Memorial kicked Castle all over the field Friday night. Memorial looked good and that scares me.

From everything I have gathered, East Central is in the same boat that they were in last year. Huge line, and great talent from those linemen. The question is do they have the skill positions to utilize that line to the best of their capabilities, and the general consensus from Eastern Indiana is that they probably do not. They will finish 1 or 2 in their conference, but there is no guarantee that they will make it out of the sectional because of the lack of skill players.

They are a very good team, being led by the line, but it all comes back to you have to have the players to put the ball in the end zone. That is what is scaring most of the people over there this year.

Well I can tell you this much, East Central's D was playing blindfolded last year l o l We scored at will. I don't know, I hope your right. I don't mind giving up 20 or even 30 pounds per guy, but 50 to 60 pounds per man is a lot. Especially if they are John Lidy lineman. You have cheeseburger lineman and steriod lineman. The EC kids are hairy, backwoods, I'd rather throw ya then know ya type kids. I wonder if any of their 6'7 280 lb guys play basketball?

I agree, I didn't see any Ke Andre Vaughn's on their sidelines last year. I'd take speed over acne and moodswings any day!
