This is not the same Lowell team that we played in November. They lost too much from last year's team including Grubbe, the head coach, and the defensive coordinator.

If not for an exceptional game by Midgett (#13), Lowell would have lost this one and dropped to 0-2. Their defensive line is nothing like it was last year. Their running game is averaging less than 3 yards a carry. Lowell is a running team.

I think if we are fortunate enough to make it to the State Finals again, it will be against a different team from the north. Dwenger is favored to take the north. Lowell has been great competition at state. This is a rebuilding/transition year for them.

I would bet that coach Kennedy wishes he never left there. It sounds like he walked into a mess a BS.

It also surprised me when he left. I know Bloomington South has had some good teams and is 5A but compared to Lowell's program right now, I see that as a step backwards.
