Hey does anyone know how the freshman team is doing and if they have any good players if so what are names?

there was one freshman that was moved up to JV for Mondays game he played linebacker. but he was not listed on the roster for the game

There were actually 2 freshman that went with the JV - McDowell (RB) and Hall (also a RB) but both played linebacker and did a pretty good job. Several other kids looking good so far- even though its still early- Estes is very fast and has had some nice runs as have the 2 players that went with the JV. Nice hands on receiver/db Summers, and good looks on both sides of the ball from Hansen and several others as they look to be learning.

The freshman team is 2-0 with wins over Henderson County (30-0) and Castle (20-0). The defense is looking good and the offense is moved the ball well in the HC game, less so in the Castle game with the exception of a big run by Estes, I believe. Estes is fast. The team looks much improved from last year's team thanks in part to the lifting program, several key new players, and a more varied playbook. The real test will come when we play Bosse and MD to see the year-to-year change.

As for names, Hall, Summers, Hansen, Happe, Adcock, and Estes are all new to the team and are contributing on both sides of the ball. The kids from last year are doing well and have showed good improvement in strength and skill. This is a good crop of kids.

Austin Reagan is the QB. He does a great job running the offense and is a leader.

TDs have been scored by Summers, Happe, Reagan, and Estes, but I am missing some. I'll get the breakdown and repost.

Also heard that Hall has one or two TDs. He's one of the boys that helped out the JV linebacking corps last week.

There are several good young players on this team. Can't wait to watch them improve and get stronger over the next few years.

TD's are good but they don't win games, TEAMWORK does. You have to play as a team if you want to win.
