I know I'm probably going to see some mean posts towards me after I say this but its just an opinion.

I was at the Owensboro and Henderson games and I watched both on recordings afterwards.

I am very concerned for us at this moment in time. Whether it be a lack of focus or something, there has been way too many penalties called on us. I do realize the officiating at Owensboro was questionable but I did see at least 7-8 infractions where it was noone elses fault but our own. Something needs to be done because I guarantee you when you get to that point in the season when its do or die....we cant afford to jump the snap like ive seen 50% of our penalties come from.

With that being said this team has done an amazing job at overcoming adversity and playing hard for each other and the school. I implore you upperclassmen to do something about it. YOU need to get this team focused. You guys are playing hard but that is only half the fight. Focus/execution is the other half. You need to get on track.

I am and always have been a Reitz Panther. I will always be behind you guys win or lose. No matter how many penalties you get or how many turnovers we have. You are the Premier high school team in the state.

Edit: I forgot to add these games wont just be handed to you because your good you still have to win them yourselves. Which you showed you can do by last night game.

part of it was focus, but part of it was the fact that underclassmen getting the chance to play because of injuries. while this is no excuse for some of the penalities, it is something that is learned one way or the other. I assume that the coaching staff will be instructing everone of the penalities of movement, clipping, and excessive celebration. Unfortunately they cannot teach officiating crews the fact that looking the other way for the home team is not allowed. My personal preference is that if your going to call it tight or bad do it on both ways. then it is fair. time to forget the past learn from it and prepare for mext week. make the bears remember who we are. show near perfect execution. GO GET THEM PANTHERS!!!!!!!!
