From what I hear there is an unschedued frosh game tonight @6:00 against Castle. From what I have heard both teams had an open week so they scheduled a game. Is this true.

Yes, I was told by Coach Brunson that this is a non-conference game.
Just another opportunity for the teams to play a game.

Game time is 6:00 PM in the bowl.

This game does not count toward the conference crown. Like Stats73 said, just an opportunity for both programs to get in some football. My boy's on the frosh squad.

Panther frosh were victorious tonight in a rather strange game 20-0 despite officially only achieving 1 first down to Castle's 11 first downs. Clay Happe caught a WR double pass of approx 45 yds for the first score, Jordan Summers returned an interception for the second td, and Dewayne Esters I believe scored the final td on a 50-yd quick hitter up the middle with about a minute to go.

Overall the defense played pretty well - pursued to the ball quickly from the LB position and didn't allow too many big plays. We had more breakaway speed than Castle, but didn't generate hardly any offense other than the two big plays. The frosh have a number of guys playing both ways who weren't on the cub team last year, and the improvement is showing. Keep up the improvement!

Does anyone know how many passes we attempted/completed? The problem last year was a tendency to run, run, then run some more. The frosh have a good passing game this year with a lot of good targets.

They were 6 of 8 for 58 yards with 1 touchdown (no interceptions)

Ruder to Happe for 49 yards (touchdown) Double pass (1-1-0)
Reagan went 5-6-0 for 9 yards
Happe went 0-1-0

Thanks, Stats73. Those are good percentages.

Other than the one pass, it looks like very few were thrown downfield. Still, good numbers and confidence builders. Reagan has a nice arm and we have at least a half dozen good receivers.
